One of my son’s favorite herbal “potions” is derived from Lesley Tierra’s A Kid’s Herb Book. Whenever anyone in our family starts to feel under the weather, my son goes to the pantry and begins making “Enchanted Garlic Syrup.”
In a jar, combine honey and warm water. Add lemon juice, garlic, and ginger. Stir well. Put on a lid and let the syrup sit for at least an hour, and up to overnight. Strain into an 8-ounce jelly jar.
Take 2 teaspoons every 30-60 minutes until you are feeling better. Enchanted Garlic Syrup will last in the fridge for 3-4 days.
