Cute magazine with beautiful pictures, but itās not really for me. I was raised on a farm and am fairly familiar with preserving most things, and my husband was raised with livestock so he is very knowledgeable about that. I donāt need articles about basic thingsā¦ if I am lacking knowledge it is something deeper. ex. understanding how to get a cow to accept her calf when she is hormone deficient. I wanted to learn more, but most things I am already familiar with or they donāt apply to our farm. It would be good for someone with very little experience. It does supply some idea formation- so not a waste. I just donāt reach for it to learn new things.

I love receiving my monthly Homestead magazine. The sense of community I feel when I’m reading it is refreshing, and the articles are always based on real people and experience, their knowledge they share is immensely helpful. My mom enjoys the magazines as well. Neither of us have a ton of property or time in our schedules right now to homestead other than the basics, but these magazines inspire us and teach us how to do what we can with what we have!

I absolutely love this Magazine! I’m not a big magazine reader but I’m interested in homesteading. Before the magazine, I didn’t really know anything about homesteading. The magazine is a perfect balance of things I’ve heard of but don’t know anything about (so it’s good for a beginner) and things I never heard of that is really interesting. I’m so grateful to the magazine, the people willing to lend their knowledge and the affordability of that knowledge.

I have really enjoyed my subscription to the magazine. I look forward to it each month, especially when they feature Salatin. Some articles do seem very off the wall for a typical homesteader so some editions donāt go as far for me. But I do love the practical nature of the articles and recipes. I hope they add more offshoots into homeschooling and more homemaking.

Love this periodical !! While some of the articles don’t pertain to me (I’m a city dweller) it has made me more intentional about how I run my home. The content is great. I have not come across such good content put together in one Magazine. Homestead Living may involve living off the grid, where there is no utility service apart from internet and mobile network services in some cases. My observation is that, there are no articles about off grid power for homesteads, or communication solutions where mobile networks do not exist. Maybe this is not part of the scope for this magazine. Let me know you thoughts.

I love this magazine sometimes I donāt have enough time to read them month by month, but I was on vacation for a week and I went through six of them during that week, it was really good information. I need to read them more on the month because I could use some of that information in my garden, but I love the magazine.

This magazine has been a really great supplement to other research and content on homesteading. It has led me to other great resources as well. I appreciate seeing stuff from all the big names like Salatin and Norris consistently. I do think they could eliminate some of the more wild topics or make shorter entries about them and cover more common topics for new homesteaders. Very happy with it and will subscribe again.

I love Homesteading Monthly! The articles are extremely well written, knowledgeable and helpful. There is not an overabundance of advertisements, and the ones included are relevant and interesting. There’s something special about the magazine’s paper quality too. It’s not glossy and overpowering. Somehow it feels homey, graceful. I look forward to getting my HM in the mailbox every month and setting it on my bedstand. And having access to past articles on the HL website is amazing! I am very glad I subscribed.
